Slightly turnt, mostly chill, always ready.

"The Fatherless Daughter Project" - Denna D. Babul & Karin Luis

When I finally finished this book, I was so relieved. It felt like it took me forever. I kept stopping to write things down as this book served as a catalyst for A LOT of reflection around my parents. So many 'a-ha!' moments about my mami, dad, & papi. The healing isn't over but I'm glad I took a break from my usual industry reads and made time for this. "Use the past as a point of reference. Go back and visit when you need to, but don't stay, because you don't live there anymore. Suffering is no longer necessary for you to grow"

If you're open to it, add this to your winter reading list or recommend to someone you know.
