"My Voice" - Angie Martinez

Man listen... there was no way you didn't know who Angie Martinez was growing up in NYC in the late 90's & early 2000's. She's a legend. I started reading this book back in June when life was one big bowl of $%*! This memoir not only shed light into pieces of history I heard on the radio as a child but on the stories that shaped the woman behind the mic. The thoughts, the trials, the triumphs, all the things that make Angie the power house she is. It's not a book you'll find the "self-help/self-reflection" section, however, it should be as it set off a process of self-reflection I hadn't yet done in my adult life. Oh, & the J.Cole forward is absolutely perfect.
